E-learning Course – Understand the Dangers
Unsurprisingly, working at a height can be a very hazardous activity, particularly when the correct health and safety measures aren’t in place. The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) statistics show that most fatal injuries in the workplace are caused by falling from heights.
Working at height doesn’t just apply to people who are working multiple stories up a buildings safe working practices are also needed for tasks as simple as changing a light bulb or cleaning windows where the employee is elevated just a few feet from the ground. To comply with Health and Safety Legislation, it is crucial for employers to identify Hazards and control the risk of persons working at height through proper assessment, safe systems of work and appropriate training.
This training can be in-house or bye-learning and will not only help you to confidently comply with the Working at a Height Regulations 2005 (as amended) it will also give your employees the tools to stay safe at work.
The course will cover:

- What the employers responsibilities are
- How to plan for working at a height
- Conducting a satisfactory risk assessment
- When and how to use ladders and stepladders.
By the end of the course, attendees will be able to confidently identify hazards and have the knowledge to assess the risk when working at a height. The course will help employers and employees fully understand the risks involved, meaning you’ll be able to work smarter and safer.
