Internationally recognised, the Mental Health First Aid course is designed to teach individuals within your business how to spot the signs and symptoms of poor mental health and provide help to colleagues on a first aid basis. This course gives the learner the opportunity to qualify as a Mental Health First Aider and the course is endorsed by Public Health England.
The course teaches attendees a set of skills which will enable them to support colleagues experiencing mental health issues. The course will also give them a deeper understanding of the issues that impact on, and relate to, people’s mental health as well as teach practical skills that can be used every day. This includes being able to spot the signs and symptoms of mental health issues and feel confident guiding people towards appropriate support.
It is important to understand that this course does not teach your employees to be qualified therapists, it enables to them to help provide support colleagues initially and guide them to obtaining help and support they may need. Successful participants will be qualified as a Mental Health First Aider.
