Level 2 Health and Safety in the Workplace (Foundation) Training

This qualification is designed to provide candidates with the basic understanding of health and safety in the work environment. Whether you are an employer or employee, the course will provide an understanding of the responsibilities and the benefits of good health and safety. This course is specifically designed to provide health and safety training at an accessible level for all abilities. The course ensures that candidates are equip to safeguard not only their own workplace wellbeing but also that of their colleagues. What this course covers? On completion of the level 2 health and safety course you will:
  • Understand roles and duties for health, safety and welfare in the workplace
  • Understand the process of risk assessment
  • Understand how risk assessments improve health and safety at work
  • Know what the typical hazards and controls in the workplace are
  • Know what are the common causes of accidents are
  • Know the procedures for responding to accidents, near misses and ill-health in the workplace
On completion of this one-day course candidates will be required to take a multiple-choice examination. This will take 45 minutes to complete and the learner needs to correctly answer 12 out of 20 questions. Course Location and Time Our classroom based course takes place at our dedicated training centre in Tetbury.
