Highfield Level 2 Award in Risk Assessment (RQF)
This qualification is designed to help improve the workplace culture for occupational health and safety by enabling delegates to understand the basic principles of risk assessment. It was created in response to industry requirements for all employees to be risk aware.
Whilst not all employees will be required to undertake risk assessments themselves, they may be asked to contribute to the process and this course will provide them with information about the benefits of risk assessments so that they can positively contribute to the process.
Who is this qualification for?
This qualification is suitable for any member of the organisation who may be asked to contribute to the risk assessment process. It is also suitable as the first step for those who will have ultimate responsibility for completing risk assessments before proceeding to the more advanced Level 3 Award in Risk Assessment.
Duration and Location of the Classroom Based Course
The training will last 4.5 hours and the qualification will be assessed by a multiple-choice examination at the end of the course.
The training is undertaken at our dedicated training facility in Tetbury as we find that being away from the distractions of the day to day working environment enables delegates to gain more from the course.
We understand that it is not always possible to have staff out of the working environment, particularly when more than 1 member of the team is attending the training and so we can provide training on site if preferred. Simply give our team a call on 01666 503686to discuss your requirements.
What you can expect to learn during the training course
By the end of the classroom-based course, delegates will be able to;
- Contribute both to the maintenance of a safe work environment and to the process of formal risk assessment
- Understand the legal requirements for risk assessment
- Understand the principles of risk assessment including:
hazards, risks and control measures
the five steps of risk assessment
the hierarchy of control
risk assessment review and record keeping.
